About Us
Founded in 1998, Global Cable is a privately held corporation headquartered in Golden, Colorado, with a Mountain Division in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The company includes an excellent hand-picked staff of expert technicians who have the knowledge and experience to: study cable applications, develop cable infrastructures, implement cable designs, and manage cable projects. Global Cable technicians specialize in inside/outside fiber optics, copper cable, coax cable, and innerduct installations. Other services include staging, mounting, tail cables, station cables, cross connects, electrical connections, rack-and-stack, splicing, testing, and documentation. Global Cable’s voice and data cable clients include an impressive list of Corporate End Users, Value Added Resellers, and Contractors.
David Clappisi David Clappisi has over 30 years of technical and management experience in the telecommunications and data communications industry. Throughout his career, Dave’s responsibilities have encompassed the design, installation, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintenance; as well as, sales training and customer relations, related to a wide range of communication and data systems. In 1989, Dave founded and operated West-Tech Communications, an interconnect company, which focused on installing and maintaining telephone communication systems and cable infrastructures. In 1998, he sold West-Tech Communications to Active Link Communications (a.k.a. Commworld), in order to focus his attention on starting and running Global Cable, Inc. Mitch Heller Mitch Heller has 16 years of experience with Information Transport Systems (Structured Cabling Systems). His career in the industry began with Anixter, a global supplier of communications and security products. After ten years with Anixter, he gained experience and knowledge working with all major manufacturers of copper and fiber optic cabling systems for voice, video, and data. Adding to his experience he worked with multiple manufacturers of cabinets, rack and tray, paging, and CCTV systems. Mitch is accustomed to working with projects of all sizes, from small telecommunications closets to large office environments and large data centers. Mitch has also worked as a manufacturer’s representative. He joined Global Cable from The Siemon Company. In this position he provided product and installation training to end-user company employees and contractor technicians. In addition, Mitch provided product presentations to distribution companies and consultant/engineering firms for correct specification of structured cabling systems and components. In his past, he has also represented companies such as Ortronics, Berk-Tek, Microtest (now Fluke Networks), and B-Line. At Global Cable, Mitch is responsible for sales, estimating, maintaining, and developing new business relationships with end-users, consultants, electrical contractors, and general contractors. His experience offers current and future customers an objective appraisal of an organization's needs for today and potential needs in the future.
